The last couple of months have been a whirlwind of traveling, learning, growing, thinking, inspiration, love, joy, changes and much more. One of the first trips we took was in February. We went to WPPI, which is a wedding convention in vegas. We networked with other photographers and attended the tradeshow to look at a ton of new products. I was invited to a girls shoot with Jen of Photogen-inc, Sarah Rhoads, Brooke Swab, Laura Kay, and Melissa Louise. We wandered around Fremont district in the old part of Las Vegas. There were a ton of old signs, interesting people and cool backdrops. Cadence & Eli, did a wonderful job as models even with 10 photographers looking on. They rocked it out!

For Brianne & Justin’s engagement session we wanted to explore a new location. It is so inspiring to go to a new place and try out new compositions. Brianne & Justin were a ton of fun and never questioned us when we asked them to climb onto deserted freeways, logs, into bushes, down paths and run holding hands many, many times. These two have been together for a long time and it shows! I love the way that they look at each other and hold each other with ease. We can’t wait for their wedding in May and we are excited that we will be putting together a signature book with their images!

After our winter holiday break we came back for two sessions engagement sessions to finish off 2008. Angela & Michael will be getting married in November and we will be doing the photo & video at their wedding, so keep your eyes out for these two. I was feeling kind of burnt out from shooting, but after a day of laughter with A&M I am now ready to start 2009. This shoot rejuvenated my soul! A&M- I can’t wait to get to know you both better and I hope you like the photos!

From the first meeting when we meet Raenata there was an instant connection. We were so happy when they decided they wanted us to photograph their wedding. Raenata is vibrant, outgoing and always has a smile on her face. Her laugh and energy is contagious and she made the session light and fun. She also came up with some cool location and posing suggestions. Eric is her perfect match, he is more reserved and quiet, but when you see these two together you can definitely tell that they are in love.
We went to two very important locations for their session. The first was Qwest field. Eric and his family have season tickets and Raenata is hoping to get her’s soon as well. The second location was Coulon park, where Eric proposed on the little bridge. I love that we were able to incorporate some amazing locations into their session that had a lot of meaning for them! I can’t wait for their wedding in May it is going to be so much fun!

Finally! The full post from James & Nikole’s engagement session from the end of the summer. We love these two! They were referred to us by one of our friends we met through Allison & John, so the engagement session was the first time we were able to meet J&N. We traveled out to Woodinville and found a ton of cool places to shoot. Casey and I have never shot out there, but we had driven by the Tree farm many times. We thought that it would make a really cool place to shoot. We lucked out and had beautiful weather and AMAZING light! These two are so in love and relaxed with each other. We shot their wedding at the end of September so those will be up here soon as well! Enjoy! J&N we hope to see you soon! Cant wait to show you all the photos as well as the wedding ones!

Here is the rest of Jeff & Julie’s shoot. After the first part of their engagement shoot we went back to their house to eat dinner and shoot some more candid photos of them cooking dinner and entertaining. Jeff & Julie are awesome hosts, they make excellent food! I am still trying to find those crackers and the fig jam
J&J: Thank you so much for having us over, we love hanging out with you both! Once we get our house set up we will definitely invite you over for dinner. After yesterday’s walk through, we are even more excited for your wedding in August. We have some cool ideas already planned out! Have a great time in Italy. We will see you both soon!
