Sarah & Cobey are amazing people. From the first meeting when we met with them, we wanted to do their wedding. We instantly connected and we knew their wedding was going to be a blast. Also, Cobey plays hockey (which is the one sport casey and I are a fan of)! At dinner before their wedding, they casually mentioned that their wedding was medieval themed. We thought..why not bring them some swords for photos and dramatic effect? It was a blast and we hope to hang out sometime soon!!

The song that we used was the same song (though a different version) as the one S&C played during their first dance. They told us that it was one of their favorite songs…we liked it too!

After our winter holiday break we came back for two sessions engagement sessions to finish off 2008. Angela & Michael will be getting married in November and we will be doing the photo & video at their wedding, so keep your eyes out for these two. I was feeling kind of burnt out from shooting, but after a day of laughter with A&M I am now ready to start 2009. This shoot rejuvenated my soul! A&M- I can’t wait to get to know you both better and I hope you like the photos!

Marissa & Dean are awesome. They are creative and own their own business, so they completely mesh with us! It was a blast being at their wedding, we felt more like guests than photographers. Casey and I both kept saying to each other at the wedding how much M&D are in love and while editing the photos it was even more apparent. The subtle kisses on the cheek, the whispers, the smile at each other when they think no one else is watching, their hugs are just some of the things that show their love. Their wedding took place at the Fox Island Yacht Club. Daniella from Bella Signature design did an AMAZING job, creating the beautiful ambiance for their day. And the Food was so great as well, I don’t think I have ever been this full at a wedding!! It was oh so yummy! We can thank Ravishing Radish for my full and happy tummy that day! I would definitely recommend both of these fabulous vendors!! M&D, we hope you love the photos and we can’t wait to show you the rest!

Katie & Joe are so much awesome. When we first met with them, we felt an instant connection. We are so glad to be doing photography & video at their wedding in February. It was so fun to see them interact with each other and the love that they share. Casey had been wanting to shoot at this location for a long time and we were finally able to go there for Katie & Joe’s session. I love the fall leaves and the colors that come out around this time of year!

James & Nikole’s wedding was a blast. They were so relaxed and their family was a dream to work with. Their moms were in tears the whole day and you could just feel the love that everyone had for James and Nikole not to mention the love that they have for each other. I think they had some of the most heartfelt toasts I have ever heard. James & Nikole also gave us plenty of time to do photos of just them together. We had one hour prior to the ceremony and then after the reception was over we headed down to the beach to do a session while the sun was setting! Perfection! We love that! J&N-can’t wait to see you tomorrow and show you the rest of the photos!

You may remember Joanna & Teddy’s wedding from the SDE we posted a while back. The day of the wedding the weather decided to not play its part and be sunny, it decided to RAIN rain and RAIN. Danielle and I have lived in Seattle for about three years now and we used to joke about how everyone said it rained alot…..we NOW understand that they weren’t kidding around. It rained so hard that the humidity fogged up all of our camera lenses and we had to continually wipe them throughout the ceremony….perfect for catching the kiss huh..
Although the weather was dismal, Joanna and Teddys’ smiles, love, and excitement shined through the rain. And their spirit lifted us up as well, and we were able to capture all the excitement from everyone on the wedding day and give them a surprise SDE.
After the wedding Joanna and Teddy thought it would be an awesome idea to do a day after shoot when the weather was actually participating in helping us out! We went back to the woodmark hotel and shot photos out of the docks, and some other places around the area. We also found this cool dock that was semi-hidden behind the side of the park area. Since there was no clear way to get tho the dock we just decided to climb our way through the trees….not knowing that on nearly every branch were huge spiders…FUN! But nonetheless we made it there and back! and got some photos on the semi-secret-dock.
Here are some photos from the shoot:
