Many people often ask us why Casey and I shoot together at weddings instead of going out on our own and brides often ask why they would want to pay a little more for 2 photographers instead of just 1. One reason why is that we can actually be in two places at once. Casey often goes with the Groom while he is getting ready and I usually go with the bride. We also challenge each other to improve with each wedding or photoshoot, never settling on a specific way of shooting but to always increase our technical abilities. But the most important reason is that every photographer will look at the same situation in a different way and put their own style into the picture. I tend to shoot wide shots shots of the ceremony and really focus on the overall event while Casey tends to be more focused on close-ups and specific details. At Tri & Ben’s wedding we were lucky enough to have our good friend Michelle Moore come shoot with us. We always enjoy her company! While editing this wedding I found 3 images that we shot while taking pictures of Tri & Ben on the balcony. As you can see they are all from exactly the same time, but our images turned out completely different! This is why I love having multiple photographers at weddings.

What a PERFECT illustration to your point on having multiple photographers! Amazing. I had passed your blog and website onto my cousin who will be getting married in Olympia. NOW I’m going to make sure she sees this entry.
By the way…a truly incredible job that you guys did on our family pics. We love them!
