J&J’s family shoot was a blast. This was our second year doing their shoot for their christmas cards and it was great to see how the kids have grown and developed. J&J are great parents and their kids absolutely adore them. J&J let their kids be kids and help them explore and learn new things! Casey and I have driven by this Christmas tree farm many times and we wanted to do a family holiday shoot there so when I told J&J about the location they were totally up for it! The kids had fun finding the smallest and the largest christmas tree, mushrooms, worms and colored pieces of glass that were used for the road. J&J: We hope you love the photos!

Here are a few photos from Levi’s senior photo shoot that Danielle and I did in Yakima a couple weeks ago. Levi is a good friend of my younger brother, Quint, and he was truly awesome to shoot with.

We went to an old mill and took some photos there against the wall textures, and then we went to a hardware storage unit by a golf corse which had a really nice greenish blue wall. Throughout the photoshoot light was beautiful and we got some pretty nice sun flares towards the end of the shoot as the sun dipped behind the mountains.

Some cool news about Levi is that he just received his pilots license so he might take Danielle and I up in the sky’s sometime to do some cool aerial photography. Woot!!

Our good friend Kareem is off to Germany right now for some acting and casting work and while he was here a couple weeks ago Danielle and I had the pleasure of taking some headshots of him. The shoot went great and we had some brilliant light out on Capital Hill, we finished up just in time for dinner and we all went out and had some awesome food at a local diner that was totally awesome.

A couple weeks ago Casey and I shot Jordan’s senior photos. We ventured around downtown Yakima to find some fun locations for his shoot. I think we found some great walls that worked great with the colors of his outfits and personality! We had a lot of laughs, every time I asked him for a more serious face he busted out in laughter. To Jordan: we had a great time with you! We hope you like them!

It is not very often that Casey and I get to shoot Artists with so much passion for their work. I was absolutely stunned, amazed and taken aback when I first heard their new music. I didn’t know that such powerful music could come out of these two. Plus they also write their own music! We spent the day taking photos for their new cd covers we went everywhere from inside a church, discovery park, and ballard. It was almost a 12 hour photoshoot. Boy were we beat! But I think we came out with some amazing photos. Here are some of our favorites. There were so many that we decided to split this into two posts, so more will be coming in the next few days! Jenn, Carlos Jeraleh, Rachel & Marj have been best friends for a long time. Jenn and I were captains on the dance team in highschool and I was excited to get to see her after such a long time. We had about an hour to shoot before it started raining, but we didn’t need much time with this group. They were all smiles and they were up for anything we asked them to do. We hope you like them guys! We had a blast!

Here is some of the photos Casey and I took of my cousin Hannah for her senior shoot. We tried out some different lighting techniques using our flash as backlighting and harsh side lighting. It was fun exploring and trying something new! I will post some behind the scenes photos so you can see the simple lighting setup. We are almost caught up on blogging..only a few more shoots to be on back on track 🙂

Here are some of Kenia’s senior portraits we did awhile back. We are so behind on posting 😦 Kenia was so fun and easy to work with! She was all smiles during the shoot. Kenia is an honor student and I know she works very hard! Also check out her cute family at the bottom! They all came to support her during her photoshoot 🙂 I used a few new textures that Casey and I took while on vacation in Cali and Hawaii–its so fun to experiment with new ones.
